A fatal collision in Washoe County in Nevada will impact people traveling to Burning Man for several hours, the Washoe County Sheriff's Department said on Sunday afternoon.

The sheriff's department said they are investigating a major, fatal collision in the area of County Road 34 and State Route 447. They advised people traveling to Burning Man from Reno to remain in Reno until further notice.

The Twitter account Burning Man Traffic said egress from Burning Man is being held while the accident is being cleared.

And the Burning Man Project asked people who've left Reno to turn around and go back if they have the opportunity to do so.
